Warrensburg to Pleasant Hill Transmission Line Upgrade

Evergy is planning to rebuild an aging power system that is nearing the end of its service life. Upgrading the transmission line will improve reliability to support current and future needs of the community from Warrensburg to Pleasant Hill.

  • If you currently have a single pole on your property, it will likely be replaced with a wood or steel single pole that is an average of 15 – 20 feet taller than the existing pole. Steel poles are utilized for reliability and resiliency with the harsh weather conditions our communities can face.
  • If you currently have an H-frame structure on your property, it will likely be replaced with a wood H-frame structure that is an average of 10 feet taller than the existing structure.
  • If the current structure on your property utilizes guy-wires for support, it will be replaced with a self-supporting structure, where possible.
  • Construction is scheduled to begin this Fall and be completed in Spring 2022.
