CUSTOMER'S RESPONSIBILITIES: By accepting these terms, you are requesting that Evergy stop sending you a paper bill by mail. You understand that if you choose Paperless Billing it will be your responsibility in the future to check the Evergy website to obtain your bill. Evergy will send an email notification when your bill is available to view. However, you understand that Evergy does not control all aspects of email delivery and cannot guarantee delivery of the email notification even if you have provided your current and correct email address. You understand you will continue to receive a paper bill until Evergy has processed your enrollment. After your enrollment in Paperless Billing is received, you will receive a confirmation by email at the address you provided.

By agreeing to suspension of mailed bills, you agree that posting of the bill on the website will constitute receipt by you of the bill for all purposes and that the bill is payable upon posting. You further understand that Evergy can only send the email notification of your bill if it has a valid email address for you, and you agree to provide Evergy with any change in your email address. You are aware that if you do not check the Evergy website in a timely manner for your bill or fail to pay your bill by the due date for any reason, collection actions may be initiated against your account, which may include past due collection notices and suspension of electric service.

EMAIL ADDRESS UPDATES: You may provide email address updates at any time through your profile in your account.

INVALID EMAIL ADDRESSES: If for any reason email notifications are returned as undeliverable, Evergy may post a message in your account notifying your that you need to update your email address. In any event, it is your responsibility to maintain a valid email address on record if you want to receive billing notifications via email.

MINIMUM SERVICE REQUIREMENTS: To access and retain communications from Evergy, you must have a working email address and internet access with:

• A web browser that supports 128-bit encryption (such as Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Safari), and

• A program that can view, save and print PDF files (such as Adobe Reader).

By agreeing to the terms and conditions, you confirm you have successfully accessed the Test PDF document and certify you meet all of the above System Requirements.

PAPERLESS BILL CANCELLATION: You may cancel this electronic billing option at no cost and revert to receiving a paper bill by mail. Once your account has reverted to receiving a paper bill, you will no longer receive bill notifications and access to historical bill images older than three months. Also, Evergy may remove you from Paperless Billing for certain reasons, e.g., if you stop paying your bill electronically. There may be a delay of one or two billing periods before paper bill delivery resumes.

PAYMENTS: In order to be in the Paperless Billing program you agree to pay your bill electronically. Electronic options include automatic payments, online payments or other electronic options that Evergy may offer in the future. You may also pay via third party services that provide Evergy with remittance information. You understand that failure to provide Evergy with remittance information when you pay your bill may delay posting of your payment possibly resulting in late payment charges and other collection actions.
