Home Protection Plans to End December 1, 2026
If you have a home protection plan and need to file a claim before December 1, 2026, we make it simple (and 100% online!).
What this means for you
Your current Home Surge Protection, Home Wiring Protection and/or Water Heater Repair Service will continue as usual until December 1, 2026. After that date, Evergy will no longer provide or service these plans. Learn more at evergy.com/surge.
Can I still file a claim?
YES. Follow these simple steps:
- Fill out the surge damage claim form within 30 days
- You'll hear back from us within two weeks
- Submit your e-signature to sign the release form
- Choose your payment option
If you already filed a claim and want to check in, just grab your claim number (from your confirmation email). Access A Current Claim >>
Prefer to send a claim by mail? Download the forms, print and mail them to Evergy Surge Damage, P.O. Box 418679, Kansas City, MO 64179-0031. Processing time will be longer.
